Created to promote the Tankwa Rally, this short documentary-style film explores the people, planning, and landscape behind one of South Africa’s premier off-road motorcycle events.
The project combined interviews with event organisers, route planners, and members of the Tankwa Farmers Association to provide insight into the unique challenges of staging a rally across one of the country’s most remote and demanding regions.
The film also highlighted the rally’s support of local farming communities through charitable initiatives, including the donation of animal feed to farmers whose properties formed part of the event route.
Alongside the video production, a new event identity was developed to create a stronger and more consistent visual presence for the rally. Aerial cinematography, interviews, and location footage were combined to showcase both the scale of the event and the character of the Tankwa Karoo landscape.
