GIGSAFE

GIGSAFE

OVERVIEW
OVERVIEW

A blockchain-based platform concept designed to connect artists, venues and fans through secure booking, ticketing and digital asset exchange.

GigSafe reimagined the live music ecosystem as a unified, self-sustaining marketplace — enabling artists to monetise their work, venues to operate more efficiently, and fans to engage more directly.

THE OPPORTUNITY
THE OPPORTUNITY

The live music industry is fragmented.

Artists, venues, promoters and fans rely on disconnected systems for:

  • Bookings
  • Ticketing
  • Marketing
  • Merchandise
  • Payments

This creates inefficiencies, a lack of transparency and lost revenue opportunities — particularly for independent artists.

At the same time, emerging technologies such as blockchain and decentralised identity systems introduced new ways to:

  • Secure transactions
  • Validate ownership
  • Automate agreements
  • Enable new forms of digital value exchange

The opportunity was to bring these elements together into a single, cohesive platform.

THE IDEA
THE IDEA

GigSafe was designed as a dynamic, decentralised marketplace.

At its core:

  • Smart contracts automate bookings between artists, venues and promoters
  • A real-time gig guide is automatically populated once agreements are secured
  • Ticketing, merchandise and digital assets are managed within the same ecosystem
  • Identity and ownership are validated through decentralised systems

The platform connects all participants in the live music ecosystem — removing friction and enabling direct interaction.

Design Approach
Design Approach

The challenge was to translate a highly technical, multi-layered system into something accessible and engaging.

The design approach focused on:

  • Creating a clear, modular platform structure
  • Simplifying complex processes into intuitive user flows
  • Developing a visual system that could scale across multiple touchpoints
  • Balancing technical credibility with user-friendly design

The result was a platform that felt both powerful and approachable.

Application & Interface

The system was translated into a full suite of interface designs:

  • Gig guide and event discovery
  • Artist and venue profiles
  • Ticket purchasing and validation
  • Marketplace for merchandise and digital assets
  • User onboarding and identity management
